Castello di Rocca Cilento is a beautifully restored medieval castle perched high above the Cilento countryside in southern Italy, with sweeping views toward the Mediterranean Sea. Originally built as a fortress, the castle dates back more than 900 years and has played an important role in the history of the Cilento region. After centuries of changing ownership and periods of decline, the castle underwent an extensive restoration, carefully preserving its historic stone walls, towers, courtyards, and character while transforming it into the elegant hotel and event venue it is today. We fell in love with its combination of Italian history, incredible views, and timeless charm, and we're so excited to celebrate our wedding there with all of you.
The wedding party and immediate family will be occupying the rooms at Castello di Rocca Cilento during the wedding weekend. The majority of guests will be staying in palazzos and hotels nearby, particularly in the Castellabate area.Castellabate is a charming coastal town in the Cilento region, located along the Tyrrhenian Sea. The seaside area of Santa Maria di Castellabate, where many of our guests will be staying at Palazzo Belmonte, is known for its beautiful beaches, waterfront restaurants, and relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. The Castellabate area is about 25 minutes from Castello di Rocca Cilento, making it a convenient place to stay while offering a beautiful seaside setting to enjoy before and after the wedding.More information and recommendations will be forthcoming.
The welcome party is cocktail attire. The ceremony and celebration afterwards are black-tie.
We anticipate sending out the full invites and additional details closer to the end of the year. Stay tuned on this website and via email/text/etc.
For guests staying in Castellabate, there will be a shuttle for both days, starting from the Palazzo Belmonte area and ending at Castello di Rocca. The shuttle will return to Palazzo Belmonte at the end of the night in at least two waves.Full specifics forthcoming.
For guests traveling from the U.S. East Coast, the most convenient airports are Naples (NAP) and Rome (FCO). Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport (QSR) is also a nearby regional airport with commercial flights, although it currently does not offer nonstop service from the U.S. Depending on your itinerary, connecting through another European city may make QSR a convenient option. From the airports, there are two easy ways to reach the Cilento area:Rent a car: Renting a car gives you the most flexibility and makes it easy to explore the area before and after the wedding. From Naples, the drive to Castello di Rocca Cilento takes approximately 1.5–2 hours.Take the train: You can also take a high-speed train to Agropoli, the closest major train station to the castle and the Castellabate area. From Agropoli, you can arrange a taxi or private car to take you to your hotel or the castle. This is a great option if you would prefer not to drive in Italy.
On the Registry tab, you can find our Greece honeymoon fund. Given we are all travelling internationally, we gently ask guests not to carry any large physical gifts to Italy.
